Public Service Week 2017 - Customer Service Excellence Award

The Customer Service Excellence Award is aimed at recognition of the Department with the best customer service.  This is to be determined by the general public; the people who interact and do business with these departments; by way of voting from their mobile phones and a Facebook voting account. There is a chance to win prizes from the mobile provider.

Due to the fact that this is the first award of its kind organised by the Public Service, the choice of Departments to be voted on is based on ‘revenue-generating customer interfacing services’. The Departments to be voted on, therefore, are as follows:

- Customs & Excise
- Inland Revenue
- Treasury
- Immigration
- Registry
- Magistracy
- Commercial Intellectual Property Office (CIPO)

It is hoped that this Customer Service Excellence Award would expand over the years to other areas of service in the Public Service. It is the aim of the Public Sector Reform Unit to learn from the public, and draw on the best practices from the winning Departments across the public service, in order to serve the general public at the highest level with the best quality customer service.

Voting for the Best Customer Service Department runs from 7th to 21st June, through the platforms Digicel mobile cell phone and NTRC’s Website:  The 1st to 3rd place winners will be announced at the Public Service Forum on Friday 23rd June, at the Peace Memorial Hall, Kingstown, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The Public Sector Reform Unit is encouraging everyone to vote and in so doing assist the Unit in providing an avenue for the public service to learn from the winners, and thus improve its service delivery
